UTCH Davis-Weber CoOp (UDWC) UTCH Davis-Weber CoOp (UDWC)

UDWC Mission Statement

UDWC is a group of Bible-believing homeschool families who work together to provide our children with opportunities to develop Christlike character, Christian friendships, and various skills best suited for a large group setting for the purpose of serving God and others.

UDWC Membership & Registration Info

Our co-op is currently at maximum enrollment.

To join the waitlist, please email [email protected]. Families are added to that list first come, first served. If you have not already attended, please plan to attend the next available visitor day or park day required to join (will be scheduled when we know we have available openings).

If we have openings before the 2024-2025 year begins, we will email in the order of the waitlist. We do not anticipate those openings; but if you are interested, be sure to get on the list!

In the meantime, you are welcome to join Utah Christian Homeschool Association (UTCH), however note that the UTCH "year" runs July 1-June 30, should you join prior to July 1, you will need to update your membership again after July 1.  UTCH.org

  • UTCH membership provides access to all large group activities and opportunities available through the Davis/Weber Google Group. Many people post messages about field trips and gatherings through that group. It is also a great place to hear about the family activities offered through the various local churches (both throughout the summer and the school year).

UDWC Philosophy

UDWC is a Christian Parent Participation co-op.

Co-op leadership, in conjunction with course coordinators, determine the course schedule for the year. Parents of students enrolled in the co-op teach the courses.

Additionally, UDWC leadership, in conjunction with course coordinators, determine the total number of Helper Units needed throughout the entire schedule and divide them among all participants. Therefore, parents serve as helpers in courses in addition to/other than those in which their students are enrolled.

Our cooperative is "re-designed" every year as each participating family considers which courses their own children need and what they are willing to volunteer to coordinate. The cooperative course offerings change each year.

We ask families who choose to participate in this co-op to commit to participation for the full year and regular attendance, missing only due to illness or emergency. We ask families in UDWC to make co-op attendance a priority and schedule family vacations, activities, and appointments on different days. If you cannot commit to regular attendance and participation for the full year, UDWC is not the right co-op for your family.

UDWC is volunteer dependent and the short terms (10 weeks in the fall and 10 weeks in the winter) mean that every week’s materials are very important for students to master materials presented. In addition, withdrawals during the co-op year burden coordinators, teachers, and co-op families with the time-consuming responsibility of filling empty teaching and helping slots.
